I love a crochet pattern with texture.

If I want a smooth texture, I reach for knitting. Crochet can create beautiful textures that have a sturdiness to it while also being soft and comfortable to wear. I love how dense of a fabric this stitch pattern creates because it looks like it would be a very warm hat for our cold northern Canada winters.

This hat pattern also features an interesting stripe pattern which creates a visual interest to break up the seed stitch. it is a nice element that the designer added to a fairly simple crochet hat pattern. I would be intrigued to try this pattern with different colours of yarn to see how the pattern shows when you introduce colour changes. It would be a fun experiment to try.

Beautiful work!
