The Wavy Vees Beanie is a great crochet pattern for someone who wants to explore colour. It could be make with a variegated or self striping yarn for someone who just wants the colours to do their thing. Or pick a few of your favourite colours and create a striped hat of your dreams.

I love the wavy chevron look of this hat – which is made using simple V stitches.

For crochet patterns, I am drawn to ones with interesting texture or colours. Even though I have been crocheting for a long time, I do not like to tackle complex crochet patterns (unless its amigurumi). When I pick up my crochet hook, I want a mindless pattern that I can just make. And this pattern seems like that to me.

The colours of this project is really what made me want to make it. I would probably go with blues and greens, just for personal preference, but I think the colours the designer picked are gorgeous as well.
